You deserve to feel good with money.

Money Coaching for Therapists in Private Practice

I help therapists in private practice who feel stressed and worried about money, take control of their own financial wellbeing through money coaching.

Despite being a skilled and confident clinician, money has always been an area of your life you have avoided. Money feels overwhelming and scary.

You became a therapist to help others because you are a caring and empathetic person which can sometimes lead to sacrificing your own financial health.

You didn’t explore your own money story in graduate school or learn how to talk to clients about money because it is not a topic most graduate programs know how to talk about either.

You were told either directly or indirectly that you should not expect to make much money as a therapist, which only added another layer of shame to your money story.

You have either been shamed or seen others shamed by colleagues for wanting to charge what you need to in order to have a sustainable practice that supports your life.

You feel discouraged because your money habits are keeping you from making the changes you want for your practice and your life.

You feel overwhelmed, discouraged, and hopeless when thinking about your student loans and credit card debt.

You feel nervous about the idea of sharing your finances and feelings about money with anyone because the financial industry has a history of talking down to you and overcomplicating simple money concepts.

Money shame runs deep! It makes you believe you aren’t good enough because of your income, spending habits, debt or amount you have saved.

The financial and mental health systems weren’t designed for you have money or to know what to do with it.

Like most therapists, you were conditioned to believe you shouldn’t want money, (because that would make you greedy and you would be benefiting from the suffering of others), and that you aren’t good at managing money.

You have been shamed into believing that the only way to achieve financial “freedom” and “peace” is through deprivation and rigidity. That your financial situation is the direct result of how hard you work without any consideration of the impact of the systemic barriers that limit your access to wealth.

You need a safe and supportive space to talk about your numbers as well as your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about money without being judged. I will sit with you as you face the reality of your financial situation with compassion and acceptance.

You don’t have to figure this out on your own. It is ok to talk about money.

If you want to have a greater awareness of your money both personally and in your practice, have a plan so that your money is working for you, and feel more confident and less stressed about money, I would love to help!

Lets do this together.

Creating a plan together that works for your unique situation.

This is not a one-size-fits-all approach, quick fix, or get rich quick scheme. My approach to money coaching is individualized, shame-free, and balanced. If you have the motivation and the commitment, I have the education and support you need to create a plan for your money that feels good to you.

Disclaimer:

I am a therapist, but I am not YOUR therapist.

Please note that while I do hold a license as a psychotherapist, I will not be providing therapy to my money coaching clients. I will not be diagnosing or treating mental health disorders or processing past trauma with my clients. If I determine during our coaching work together that you could benefit from working with a psychotherapist, I will discuss this with you and provide referrals. If you are already working with a therapist, I will encourage you address issues that fall outside of the scope of our work together with your therapist.
